A large original oil painting of a wild bouquet of poppies in an earthenware vessel with what looks like papers and a book laid below. The poppy heads laid around amongst the papers might suggest they were being pressed and preserved between the pages of a heavy book.
The painting does not have a visible signature on the front but on the back is written ‘framed by’ and what looks like the name Tom Malcomber, or something similar.
The frame is wood painted white- it has several marks and some scratches/scuffs but is otherwise solid.
