An early 20th century chinoiserie settee, undoubtedly made in the style of the bamboo furniture made by Chippendale for the Brighton Pavilion in the regency period.
The settee has not been restored and has traces of its original light layer of varnish. A lot of the varnish has dried up with age and flaked off, leaving the light coloured bamboo exposed. There is no notable damage to the bamboo frame or rattan seat.
