Peter Ford is a painter and printmaker born in Hereford. He attended Hereford School of Art, 1955-56, before undertaking a teachers training course at St. Mary’s College in Twickenham. He furthered his art studies at Brighton College of Art, 1960-61.
Ford has exhibited regularly since the 1970’s, including at the RA, RWA, Printmakers Council and at several international print exhibitions. His awards include the 2nd Irish Miniature Print Exhibition, First prize, Dublin 1990, International Miniature Print Biennale, John Szoke Gallery prize, New York 1989, 8th British International Print Biennale, Lowick House/Barcham Green prize, Bradford 1984. Ford is an elected member of the RE and RWA.
Since 1994, Ford has produced monotypes, relief prints and collagraphs from wood and found materials. Examples of his work are in galleries and museums all over the country.
