An original Soviet propaganda poster, printed in 1975.The artwork is by Yefim Rabinovich, a member of the ‘Fighting Pencil’, a creative association of Leningrad artists, responsible for producing many propaganda posters in the USSR during the Cold War. The poster is criticising religion but also Atheists and their lack of effort to convert. The image shows an Atheist “sleeping on the job”.

This poster was part of a large portfolio of propaganda posters designed by a variety of Fighting Pencil artists and poets/writers. We have the original portfolio cover but there isn’t a complete collection of posters, so we’re selling them individually.

Some wear to the edges and small aging spots on the paper. There is also a number penned in the bottom corner.
