This original oil on board is of St Nicholas Church, Prague and is by the talented Czech artist Emanuel Bakla.

Bakla, born in 1878, is best known for his dramatic European city scenes which are typically atmospheric with a focus and appreciation for architecture.

The antique black lacquer frame has some knocks, and there is damage to the gesso beading. The painting itself has some wear, it has only been lightly cleaned and does have a few small marks/scratches.
