Taken directly from a large collection of original artwork from an artist called Trevor Barchi who was most active during the 1960s-1970s. This drypoint is one of a number produced by Barchi whilst experimenting with different techniques and methods of hand-printing. It appears to be of an interesting surrealist landscape, further ink may have been added after printing to add more colour and shading.
We have a number of variations of this drypoint available, in different colours, tones and depths.
Though clearly talented, there’s unfortunately little information about Barchi beyond that he studied art in London before moving up North.
The drypoint has a wide border so you could cut it down to fit any sized frame. The paper measures 41.5cm x 29.5cm. The aperture (inner square), measures 26cm x 25cm.
