Large Mid-Century 1970s Signed Limited Edition Screenprint Dystopian American Mail Trucks

£60.00

Original screenprint dated 1974. It is number 9 of a total of only 40 that were made. The screen print is titled and also signed by the artist, ‘G. Woodward’ or ‘C.H. Woodward’, we don’t know any more about them at this time, but we do have other work by the same artist listed for sale.
The scene is focused on American mailing trucks with a mountain region in the background. There appears to be a large broken piece of infrastructure perched on top of the mountain, giving it a dystopian narrative.

The screen print is in its original period frame. The paper is sandwiched between two thick pieces of perspex held together with perspex plugs.

The perspex has reflected the ceilings lights in some photos, which has caused some milky reflections. The screen print has some slight yellowing around the edges from age and a few very small blemishes. The perspex has some typical light scratches but it doesn’t greatly detract.
Frame measures 78cm x 52cm.
