This striking modernist candelabra is attributed to the Swedish designer Gunnar Ander, c1955. The base is black lacquered steel and the candle holders are brass.
There is age related surface wear to the metal and the base has a very slight curve towards the edge- it doesn’t seem to be at all effecting the straightness of the candelabra. The original design had a small decorative ridged brass piece in the centre of the stems, on this candelabra it has either been removed or lost.
The brass cups have a warm patina- they could be polished to a high shine if preferred.
