Original mixed media artwork by artist James Henry Wess. Wess was born in Liverpool in 1933. He attended Liverpool College of Art, his first solo exhibition was at The Manor House, Ilkley.

He was primarily a sculptor but painted continuously throughout his life. Many of his early work is heavily driven by his interest in sculpture and ceramic design.

This mixed media artwork is an ink drawing, with the majority of the colour in oil pastels and a light watercolour wash. Not clearly signed but from a portfolio of other work that is mounted, signed and dated.
