Engraving of ‘Judy’ by R. A. Riseley
An original c.1930s-40s finely detailed engraving by Cheshire artist R. A. Riseley, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. The engraving is from early in his career and is unusual in its subject matter compared to a lot of his work which is generally more focussed on landscapes and architecture.
Signed and titled by the artist in pencil. Frame and mount are original to the period. The card mount is very foxed, the engraving itself is much less so.
Frame measures 34.5cm x 26cm
Aperture measures 20cm x 15cm
