£35.00
sold out

A charming oil on board of a farmyard on a bright summer day. The focus is on the two figures in the centre of the scene- a lady in a bright orange top is carrying a galvanised bucket across the yard as a gentleman behind her pauses his work to look in the direction she is walking.

The painting is signed in the bottom corner by Frederick Naish. Naish was born in Bristol but moved to St Ives to join the growing community of artists who had been relocating to the scenic area since the 19th century. Naish was soon happily settled and opened a gift shop alongside his studio.

On the back of the board is another unfinished seascape.

Frame measures 42.5cm x 34.5cm.

Aperture measures 35cm x 27cm.
