Though without a clear label, the distinctive design of this oak armchair is very similar to other Arts & Crafts chairs attributed to Liberty from the early 20th century.

The needlepoint upholstery is original and features an abstract botanical design evocative of French tapestry chairs from the 17th century. Hidden within the design are some charming detailed animals. The upholstery is edged with incredibly detailed large pewter tack pins. The back of the chair is upholstered in brown material.

The surface of the upholstery has some small areas of wear, including some spots of moth damage- the chair has been treated as a precaution. The structure of the chair and seat padding etc are in good condition.
