This intricately carved hardwood table has some beautiful detail which includes thistles, shamrocks, an English rose and what is possibly a liver bird. Underneath is a small label which states the table was ‘’Made and carved by William & Elizabeth Starkey. c1900’.
The design of the table is very unusual with the carved detail continuing down squared legs, finished with ball feet.
One of the gate-legs has an old repair, it’s not one of the weight baring legs so won’t effect use of the table. There are also two thin rectangular pieces of carving missing from the top near the join, they’re very neat and so not immediately noticeable.
Diameter of table top when opened is 78cm x 65cm.
Diameter of table when folded down 30cm x 65cm.
Height 64cm.
Delivery available.
