Late 19th century. Often described as kettles used aboard ships, but they were also used in large houses to maximise the amount of water that could be heated at one time on a stove.

It’s got simple but aesthetically beautifully silhouette and would make a great feature in a kitchen, if not used for its original purpose.

In fair condition with general signs of wear. Has not been recently polished.

The body of the kettle measures 25cm x 20cm x 23cm.

The height including handle is 30cm
