An original 19th century Chinese trug bucket with great patina. The wood is lighter in colour than they often are, which beautifully highlights the handmade metal bindings.
It’s in fair condition for its age with some signs of wear. There is a section of metal missing from one band, it’s still attached at the top and bottom and therefore doesn’t seem to be greatly affecting the structure of the bucket. The bucket will be great for use for storing wood by a fire or blankets and magazines etc.
Measures 41cm wide and 23cm tall (not including handle).
