A large 19th century armchair upholstered in pale pink cotton pile velvet. Though 19th century, the silhouette harks back to an earlier Georgian design. It’s very well made with a solid wood base and mahogany cabriole legs on brass castors. The seat is sprung and traditionally padded with horse hair.
The upholstery is in good stable condition with only typical age related marks and areas of wear. The seat is firm but comfortable with no sagging.
Height of back 120cm
Width across back 67cm
Height of seat 40cm
Depth of seat 63cm
Width between arms 50cm
Full depth of chair 80cm
