Original 1940s Gouache Bath Heritage Tourism Draft Poster Painting

£55.00

This original draft for a tourism poster was created by architect and artist, Kenneth Cleverley (1923-2006). It’s dated 1948 and stamped by the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London where Cleverley studied.

The design was accurately mapped out with pencil, much of which is still faintly visible if you look closely. The detail is all carefully hand-painted in gouache and possibly watercolours.

There is one small tear at the top of the card, it has been reinforced from the back. There are other much less significant areas of damage to the edges.

Measures 77.5cm 57.5cm.
