Mid-Century c1960s-1970s Original Mixed Media Surrealist Painting Man in Egg

£20.00

Taken directly from a large collection of original artwork from an artist called Trevor Barchi who was most active during the 1960s-1970s. This surrealist scene of a person emerging from an egg has been created using mixed media. The egg looks to have been airbrushed to give it a realistic 3D shape with a soft outline. Details have been added with brush work and also ink.

Though clearly talented, there’s unfortunately little information about Barchi beyond that he studied art in London before moving up North where he had a studio.
There is what looks to be a footprint on the top corner, we suspect it’s a classic 1960s/70s Birkenstock! The paper measures 74cm x 59cm. The aperture area measures approx 64cm x 55cm.
